Life in Toledo Pt. 2

Alright, so this is my last post before I leave for Ecuador. Please pray for me. I will be flying out of Portland at 3:10pm. on Friday the 22nd and will be arriving in Quito at 6:35pm. on the 23rd. I hope that everyone is doing well and I would love to hear from you.

Here are the pictures of our project:

This is a picture of the addition. Our goal is to make the face of the house look like that.

The white sections are the high density board that used to cover the whole front.
We replaced it with the plywood.

We had to raise the other section of the deck and then we started building an extension.

This is how we held up the roof while we finished the extension. Fun.

This is the framework for the plywood. Later it will be tiled. We finished it, but I didn't take a picture of the covered floor.

The big picture (The black paper is a moisture barrier)

The engineer thinking about our next step after a long days work.

And it matches.

Then started raining, so we worked inside the deck:

And of course Max was helping us (for biscuits).

You can kind of see the extension of the deck here too.

We ended up finishing the wall to the right of this yesterday, but I neglected to take a picture of it. Anyway. I hope that was interesting. It was certainly a fun project.

Talk to you all soon,
Love,
Spencer
